问题描述

  • EMS event"vifmgr.cluscheck.hwerrors" may be generated for interface group network ports during times of high traffic.
Example:

[Node-01: vifmgr: vifmgr.cluscheck.hwerrors:alert]: Port a0a on node Node-01 is reporting a high number (at least 1 per 1000 packets) of observed hardware errors (CRC, length, alignment, dropped). [Node-01: vifmgr: vifmgr.cluscheck.hwerrors:alert]: Port a0a-114 on node Node-01 is reporting a high number (at least 1 per 1000 packets) of observed hardware errors (CRC, length, alignment, dropped)

Or [Node-01: vifmgr: vifmgr.cluscheck.crcerrors:alert]: Port a1m on node Node-01 is reporting a high number of observed hardware errors, possibly CRC errors. [Node-01: vifmgr: vifmgr.cluscheck.crcerrors:alert]: Port a1m-3006 on node Node-01 is reporting a high number of observed hardware errors, possibly CRC errors.
  • Only IFGRP TRANSMIT Total errors values increase, physical port in IFGRP shows no errors

-- interface  a0a (2 days, 19 hours, 15 minutes, 16 seconds) -- RECEIVE [...] TRANSMIT Total frames:    72934k | Frames/second:     267  | Total bytes:       410g Bytes/second:     1503k | Total errors:    48441  | Errors/minute:      11 [...]

Note: Currently 48441 Total errors were counted. Compare with later date/time.

-- interface  a0a (3 days, 3 hours, 47 minutes, 23 seconds) -- RECEIVE [...] TRANSMIT Total frames:    72934k | Frames/second:     267  | Total bytes:       410g Bytes/second:     1503k | Total errors:    52183  | Errors/minute:      11 [...]

Note: Total errors is increased. Any ifstats counter has to be compared to an earlier date/time to confirm increase.
