  • Prior to 9.15.1, ONTAP AutoSupport over STARTTLS is not supported. However, 'cloud' SMTP service providers, such as Microsoft Office 365 and Google Gmail/G-Suite, typically require STARTTLS for external email destinations and recommend it for internal email destinations as well.
  • This request for enhancement represents some customers' request to engineering to support for STARTTLS
