本操作步骤介绍如何准备文件管理器、以便  在 MetroCluster环境中的两个网络结构(每个网络结构都具有一个ISL )之间进行无中断物理ISL连接交换、从而确定ISL端口(E端口)上的传输错误的根源。此 要求 所有的操作步骤都关闭一段时间、这会影响站点冗余。
