通过NDMP备份到光纤通道磁带时、吞吐量偶尔较低

适用场景

  • 两个或多个ONTAP 集群节点、其中每个节点都连接到光纤通道磁带。
  • NDMP正在SVM范围模式下运行。
  • 数据管理应用程序(DMA)配置包含所有节点的磁带设备路径。
  • DMA未配置为首选本地设备路径、而是会使用任何可用的磁带设备完成备份或还原。

问题描述

  • NDMP备份或还原所需时间比平常要长。
  • 与以前的作业相比、"速度较慢"作业的吞吐量较低。
  • 低吞吐量是零星的—同一作业在一次尝试中将以可接受的吞吐量运行、然后在另一次尝试中显示低吞吐量。
  • 所有备份、无论是快速备份还是慢速备份、都会写入连接到NetApp集群节点的SAN磁带设备。

对与较慢作业关联的卷执行"转储为空"测试并不表示读取吞吐量瓶颈。

示例:

SVM"nasdata"上的卷"data1"通常以~200 MB/秒的速率进行备份、但偶尔会以~75 MB/秒的速率进行备份

如果检查备份日志、则以较高吞吐量运行的作业的转储选项中的b=60:
